okay so what if she didnt make the vampires in her story like the typical vampires. she was going for something different. thats one of the reasons why these books are so amazing. and there is nothing wrong with loving these books and dreaming about fiction is definitly not wrong sometime reality isnt so pleasent and dreaming about fiction is what helps people forget about there reality. AND twilight is not just for fat 13 year olds who have no social life. i am a very skinny 17 year old who loves these books with a great social life and i know many people who love this book who are older, like many of my friends parents love these books. im kinda getting tired of every hating these books and calling the people who like them young and immature, especially those who never read it( not saying that you never read cause i dont know).

Twilight is not the best vampire series around. Yes, it was an entertaining, light read to enjoy between some boring books I had to read for school. But unfortunately, the plot wants to do something more than Stephenie Meyer was capable of writing. Also, I agree about the sparkly part. It's a little weird, and very fanfiction-y in the sense that Edward and Bella have no flaws. And the vampires don't have any real threats (the "werewolves" don't count as they CAN be killed by vampires quite easily, or so the Cullens claim). Bella is a bad case of the Self Insert Mary Sue. Bella is described to look a lot like Stephenie Meyer, and having written stories before, Mary Sue characters (especially Self Inserts) piss me off a lot (I write stories like that for myself and my friends; never do I share them with the public on any sites or anything. I save the original character ones for that). Mary Sue is a term for an impossibly perfect character in a story, just to let everyone know. As for saying vampires are supposed to be ugly, that varies per story. Some stories depict them to be extraordinarily charming to lure in their prey, others depict them as hideously ugly. And not all vampires have fangs -- have you ever read Dracula or Cirque Du Freak? They use their nails to open a wound in a human to suck blood. No fangs necessary. And to the OP, tell girls you are Edward/Jasper/Emmett/Carlisle Cullen, depending on who you most look like and you'll get them all over you ;-)
