Does she also hate God when she swears? Or wears synthetic fabrics? Or eats shellfish? Not only is the Bible outdated, contradicting and written by people (not God), committing a sin does not mean you hate God. Every time I envy someone or swear or feel lazy, it's not because I hate God, it's because I'm not even thinking about it. Not to mention, all of that crap about religion was written by people, so until God comes down and tells us what we can and can't do, how can we really know? Second, wearing a rainbow doesn't mean you're gay. She obviously doesn't understand that sin is not connected with admiring the beauties of nature, and definitely shouldn't be taken seriously. Also, how does she know you don't have to wear it? What really irks me, though, is that you can't say anything back to these doltish customers without getting in trouble.

Honestly, I can't stand hardcore religious people who pick and choose what to believe from the Bible: Yes the Bible says men should not lie with other men...a few pages later it also says every time your child does something wrong, he must be stoned.

OMG!!! Seriously??? Dude, if she comes back to the store, tell her to read Noah's story and remind her that the rainbow, for the Christian, is supposed to be God's promise that he would never again drown the earth. Besides, rainbows are often used to represent children and innocent things too!!! UGH!!! I hate ppl like that: stupid enough to think like that, to say it out loud, and to pass it on to her kid! For all of you who are asking about the Leviticus passage/Biblical view (and especially #109): the reason it doesn't say anything about lesbianism is because they didn't give a shit about women. If a man was raped, that would be a horrendous crime; if a woman was raped, the man would have to pay her father for damage to his property (you rape it, you buy it). Women of conquered regions (virgins only, mind! All others were to be killed) were gifted by God as spoils of war, several per soldier. And as the ancient Greeks (and many Neanderthal-types even today) believed, the only sex that "counted" was penetration. So why would it matter what women were up to by themselves? OP, I'm sorry that idiot woman put a damper on your day. I am even more sorry, though, for her daughter.
