Mob rule

Today, during family therapy, the therapist asked if I believe I'm a good parent/husband. When I said yes, my two sons, my daughter, and even my wife very passionately disagreed. FML

Hey, that's why you're there. Just remember that.

I guess now you know you have some things to work on... that's not a bad thing. It's all about communication at this point. I wish you the best though OP.

It's good that you guys are in family therapy, that's exactly what that sort of thing is for. That means you're already a small step closer to solving your problems and communicating together as a family. Now that you know what you have to do, keep at it OP.

Then maybe you have a few things you need to work towards if there's that kind of blatant miscommunication. At least they were honest.

I don't see how your views could be so much different from one another..

Some parents might think that being a workaholic to bring in the money makes them a good parent when in actual fact the kids would rather have less 'stuff' and spend more time with said parent.

Well, that's alright. You're already a good step for improving just for being there! Good luck!

It's okay, remember you guys are in therapy for a reason. Stay strong

Leave them and start over my friend!

I really hope you're being sarcastic!!

I'm the same way: my father doesn't give a shit about his family and thinks he's the best parent in the world.

Either they're very selfish or you're pretty darn oblivious. There's not really any middle ground for such disparity. The therapist will be able to help with that though

It's either a conspiracy or you have some soul searching and thinking to do, OP.
