Never grow old

Today, I showed my fiancé the darling Tinkerbell hoodie I'd bought myself during the weekend. Instead of liking it as I'd hoped, he told me my childish wardrobe was embarrassing, and he wasn't going to be seen in public with me until I wore something different. FML

Most people who generalize are douchey bigots.

Guess that means he doesn't want to be your Peter Pan.

lol cute. but honestly I hope this was an isolated incident. I would hate to know people are getting married to 9 year olds nowadays.

Your BF is an idiot. You should be able to wear whatever you want. I love Tinkerbell, I'm 20 and I don't give a crap about what some idiots think.

Why the **** did you hope he would like that??? Is he gay? Some girls can be so lame.

Wow. Grow up. Few men care what you wear to begin with, and further more, even less will care about ******* Tinkerbell. If you're getting married, you shouldn't be parading around in children's clothes. (Just because they make it in adult sizes does not mean you should be buying it.)

Your fiancée is likely correct. Start dressing appropriately for your age.

People are always in a rush to grow up. Several people admire one thing - some (more like a lot, perhaps :] ) admire chocolate, others admire movies. The OP admires Tinkerbell. Big deal. People wear band shirts, shirts with movie images / quotes, indulge themselves with chocolate, etc. Just because she happened to admire one thing that people perceive as 'childish', doesn't mean she IS childish. I would like to think it means she doesn't care about what people think, and that's great. If her fiancée cares what other people think, then his fault for proposing to a girl that's more mature than to stoop to the level of worrying about other people's opinions.

Why would he like something with Tinkerbell on it?

ydi. Seriously, aren't u jst a little too old to dress in something a 5 year old little girl would think is cool.

F-his-life for being engaged to someone as immature as you.

when you're getting married, it's time to grow up
