Never grow old

Today, I showed my fiancé the darling Tinkerbell hoodie I'd bought myself during the weekend. Instead of liking it as I'd hoped, he told me my childish wardrobe was embarrassing, and he wasn't going to be seen in public with me until I wore something different. FML

Most people who generalize are douchey bigots.

Guess that means he doesn't want to be your Peter Pan.

YDI for using words like "darling". Christ.

if he's that blunt about how you dress over all you must have been dressing the same way for a while grow up or get dumped

With the many horrible comments on this little FML alone, I have lost a great chunk of faith in humanity.

I can imagine your fantasy would be childhood cartoon characters ******* like crazy. naughty naughty. how would the kids feel. ever think of them. o feel sorry for you fiancé. he should dump yo ass right there. however I wouldn't mind reimacting the adult scene from aladin. yeah aladin pound jasmines vag. woo hoo

Then simply tell the asshole to stay home by himself, and go rock your Tinkerbell hoodie all you want. I don't see a problem with it at all. I love Disney movies. I'm almost 20, and I have a Disney shirt I got from Florida on vacation 7 years ago (so I just turned 13) and I still wear it to this day, and it has all the Disney characters on it. Nothing wrong with enjoying Disney. I've never been a Tinkerbell fan myself, but I know plenty of people who are. I even know someone who is wearing a dress similiar to hers at her wedding. Don't let his negativity rule you. If he doesn't want to go out in public with you because of your hoodie, then tell him he doesn't have to. However, his reasoning is stupid, and I really doubt this would cause him to not go in public with you. I'm sure if you wear the hoodie, he'll get over it. Otherwise, he's the one being immature here.

Yup! Of course the fiancé has the right to dislike the hoodie. But to be as disrespectful as saying he won't go anywhere with the OP until she wears something decent ? What the heck ? I will be 27 this year. I live near Disneyland Paris (takes me an hour to get there by train or car) and, wait, Tinkerbell is even my favorite (but fave princess is Aurora) . Would I go to dates with a Tink sweater ? NO. Will I still collect Tink stuff ? HELL YEAH. Would I go to job interviews in a Tink hoodie ? Hell NO... but I wouldn't go with a hoodie anyway. Sure, you should always wear appropriate clothing when going out, but that depends on the occasion, and the level of formality... not anyone's taste but your own.

I know, it's her dam life so she can wear watever she wants. If he doesn't like it then he doesn't deserve her.

I'm sure there's more to this story , you probably have a wardrobe of crap like that.
