Never grow old

Today, I showed my fiancé the darling Tinkerbell hoodie I'd bought myself during the weekend. Instead of liking it as I'd hoped, he told me my childish wardrobe was embarrassing, and he wasn't going to be seen in public with me until I wore something different. FML

Most people who generalize are douchey bigots.

Guess that means he doesn't want to be your Peter Pan.

Um, wearing Disney attire *is* childish. Around the house/pajamas would be one thing, but routinely wearing Disney clothes in public is a bit different. That being said, you can wear whatever you want, but other people are allowed to judge you for it.

How embarrassing. Two mothers I know still wear Looney Toons and Disney stuff. It's sort of OK for them because they're both like 60 and had a good run anyway. And I go to Walmart and see people of past-college-years wearing Tinkerbell hoodies and Dragonball Z shirts there, and it's still OK because it's just Walmart and I expect everyone at Walmart to look trashy anyway (me included, wearing my flannel pajamas, mmm so warm and comfy) There's a time and a place, people. I don't expect you all to be fashionable. But a plain gray tshirt and jeans is better than a Tinkerbell hoodie.

You need a boyfriend who likes your style.

Protip: If you got it at Walmart, it's not stylish.

protip person u should take ur head out of ur ass and realize that it doesn't have to be a walmart thing

OP, tell your bf to piss off and be happy with who you are. I'm taking my wife and daughter to Disney world in 10 days and they can buy and wear any Disney princess outfits they like. And my wife is hot when she wears her lowcut tinkerbell tops.

Why would you possibly think he'd actually /like/ an article of clothing with Tinkerbell on it? You're his fiance, not his daughter.

Seems it's more of an FML for your bf

Why? Because he's convinced his shit doesn't stink? Her bf should be careful on that high horse he's riding around on. God forbid he should fall and have to walk around with the rest of us. What if he saw his reflection and saw he was no different? *gasps* There is not enough information given to make an accurate judgment so I'm gonna discuss hypothetical situations. 1) If OP has a small selection of Tinkerbell merchandise and doesn't always dress this way then it's a FHL for having such an uppity boyfriend. 2) If this is a normal thing then the OP should tone it down and change her wardrobe a bit. Also FHL for still having an uppity bf and F her boyfriend's life for having such a childish gf. Every girl has a small collection of "cute" things that may seem childish. In fact, most guys probably do too. Like if I saw a shirt saying how much greater ninjas are than pirates, I'd buy and wear it.

Way to pick up on that quote! +! props!

OMG this guy is rude! I think that absolutely no one gives a damn what anyone wars in public, and if this guy believes all eyes are on him, then he is wrong.
