Was Marcellus Wallace your boss? I hear he can overreact to a well intentioned foot rub... But tbh, if these girls reported you, you obviously aren't friendly enough to be offering them foot rubs, so you come off as a creeper to me...
Maybe youre just creepy?
That sucks. You're a good person at heart. Keep you're head up.
how did this get so many "you deserved its"?... its not harrasment, its flirtig
Creep
I like how people are saying this guys a creeper when he was just being lamely teasing and complimenting at best. The "correct course of action is apparently to not be friendly to his coworkers and then get fired for "not being a team player" I mean sure. If he got a warning he deserves it but to go from happily working at some place to fired for harassment without a single goddamn warning is horseshit. Sounds like they were looking to boot him and use the supposed harassment as an excuse.
This sounds okay on paper, but you probably just aren't realizing how skeezy it comes off in person. You /are/ automatically responding to complaints of stress with somewhat suggestive comments, just because they're female. It's not surprising that they would be uncomfortable to just tell you it made them uneasy. Given how seriously women tend to be taken (i.e. - not very) I seriously doubt it was just "I was being nice but the SEXIST WOMEN RUINED EVERYTHING."

Ouch, I'm really sorry. ): People take things too far these days.
Perhaps the male employees felt left out. Maybe at your next job, you should compliment their looks and offer them foot rubs, too. Think of this as a learning experience.
