Today, I had a really cute waitress at lunch. I decided to leave my number and a $50 bill for a $15 check. When I left the restaurant I realized I still had the $50 but a $1 bill was missing from my wallet. I've been getting threatening text messages all day. FML

Today, I went out with a friend to grab some food and we were served by this really cute and fun waiter. Stepping out of my comfort zone and deciding to do something crazy, I left my phone number on the bill. I got home only to realize that I forgot to pay the bill. FML

Today, I left my number on my receipt for a cute waitress. As I was leaving the bar, she came running out and called me over. I obviously got excited. Turns out I'd forgotten to sign my slip. FML

Today, some friends and I went to IHOP. We joked about not having enough money, and as it turns out we were $5 short. We put down what we had and left. Upon getting to the car, I realized I'd forgotten my phone, and had to go back. I made eye contact with our waitress, our money in her hand. FML

Today, my boyfriend and I had a lovely dinner date. Our waitress was really sweet, so we talked about leaving her a big tip. When we got home, we discovered we both thought the other person had left it. FML

Today, while working as a waitress, an attractive woman sat at one of my tables. When she paid, I decided to be bold and write my number and "Call me" on her receipt. She put in a complaint to my manager. FML

Today, I was working at my job as cashier. This really attractive girl who often comes in walked in, so I mustered up the courage to ask her out by writing my number on a dollar bill. She paid and the amount her change happened to be a dollar. I go to hand her the money when she sees it and says, "Keep the change!" FML

Today, I went to a restaurant to order food with just a $100 bill. They no longer had what I came for, so I left. When I got to my car, I realized - no bill. I went back in for them to say they hadn't seen it, and they wouldn’t check the cameras. I know the lady working there picked it up since I was the only customer. FML

Today, my parents came to the restaurant I work at as a waiter. After, I picked up the check to realize they had left me a $500 tip! We split the tips among the employees so I only got $50 back but I was still psyched. When I got home they asked me if I had noticed that they used my credit card. FML

Well, Einstein, call the number back and explain that you left the wrong bill and offer to pay with a big tip. Must better then the cliche' that you just did. It's your foot in the door. A perfect opportunity. But if you think you life is f'd because of this, you'll never get a girl.

oo... i don't get it.... just don't get it... if u had left only $1 for the bill and left the number to receive threatening messages... just go back to the place and pay the rest saying u are mistaken.... it is a YDI... "Today, I paid the wrong bill at lunch where I met a really cute waitress... instead of returning to pay the correct bill, i decided to post a FML. FML

Not quite sure how that mixup happened. Didn't you say you wrote your number on the $50? How'd she get your number if you still had the bill? Unless the $1 overlapped and you managed to write on it instead. At least you can text her back and explain. You might want to save those messages, though. If they're legitimately threatening and things go sour, you might need them as evidence. Not saying anything bad will happen. Still, there are a lot of crazies out there.
