You guys do realize that the OP never gave their current education status. If they live in the US, and they are still in high school, even though they are over 18, they are still not granted emancipation until they graduate high school or get a GED. If they aren't in high school, then I do agree, move out.
#102: There's plenty of people who drop out of High School and leave home when they're 18 or older. 0_o What the heck law are you talking about...? Under their roof or not, soap is poisonous and doing that to ANYONE of ANY age is foul and completely insane... Let alone trying to force their ADULT child to do it. But I agree with the people who said you should have resisted, and if you honestly sat there and did it... well, you're just as messed up as your parents, IMO. Here's to hoping you can get out sometime soon.
I can feel for this kid!! Almost 20 and I still have a curfew of 10 o'clock. Yes, I KNOW.
The fact that you would allow your parents to do that to you at the age of 19 is astonishing.
