Today, my parents punished me and made me wash my mouth out with soap for cursing. I'm almost 19. I said the word "Hell". FML

Better than letting them do it. I would get a nice brand-new bar of soap to my mouth whenever I said "shut up" or "suck". And my mom would always make sure to scrape my front teeth on the way out. At least you got to do it to yourself. But you deserve it for talking like that in front of them and expecting them to be used to it. No parent wants to hear their child swear.

Im 23, have been to jail, been a sex addict, alcoholic and smoke n my parents kno this. I went out one night got drunk n boob dialed my mother n she heard me cursing n called next day bawling cuz she didnt kno I cussed n just never thought her daughter could ever do such a terrible thing.
