Maybe they just don't want you growing up anymore and this baby makes them realize that you have your own family now... Or they could just be really conservative people.

That's awful. Both times I told my parents (I was 22 and 25 when I got pregnant) their reaction was barely more than "meh congrats" (the reactions I wanted tbh). Congratulations on bubs though

31 is a good age. You're mature, old enough to make your own decisions, but not old enough to (more likely) have a dangerous pregnancy :) Congrats OP

Age doesn't guarantee maturity or proof of fit parenting. Ask any social worker. OP left out what the parents actually said.
