By Brrrb - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - Singapore

Today, I passed by a small shop and decided to go in to look at the jeans. Before I could even step in, the shop owner told me expressionlessly, "All the sizes here are too small for you." FML

Should have replied "No, your jeans are too ugly for me... a bit like your face" Childish I know.. but they seem to have more fun then us adults so why not. ;-)

That was nice of the owner, making sure you didn't waste your time. ;)

Rofl. I had something similar happen while I was shopping for my sister once. The woman at the counter took a look at me, then at the size of the shirts, and told me that I should probably try them on first because I'd need at least 3 sizes up. I took them home, they were to big for my sister, and I ended up with them since they fitted perfectly.

That is just beyond rude. I hate it when I walk into a "hot" store and I always feel like the salespeople are looking at me. Just because they only carry sizes in XS and S. I'm a M.

That's the point where you put them in a denim choke-hold and shout "who's the boss NOW!"

Ohhh dude. That sucks. you shoud've made a big scene about discrimination.. or like, insisted to go inside anyways, and spit in all the pockets of the jeans. =)

discrimination? Maybe it was the plain truth and he was trying to spare her the time? You guys are flying off the handle and assuming the shopkeeper was being a dick...maybe the OP has low self esteem and can't handle being told the truth...if shopkeep said there weren't jeans in her size, then they don't have jeans in her size...move on with your life OP, I can make a story just like it "Today I tried buying a pair of jeans at the Baby Gap but the floor manager told me there would be no clothes in my size here. FML"

What do you expect, it's a small shop. It's like a big & tall shop only with a different size. Ha... get it?

that was mean, but he probably wasnt really trying to be mean and was being nice.

In my opinion, being big is a sign of wealth..seeing as you have enough $$ to feed yourself (: and besides did she ever say she was fat? Nah, it could have been a shop for petite midgets. Ohh society now adays :P

#3- isn't 40 like, normal? all those stores out there are like forcing girls to have low self-esteem bc they don't carry normal sizes.
