Today, I passed by a small shop and decided to go in to look at the jeans. Before I could even step in, the shop owner told me expressionlessly, "All the sizes here are too small for you." FML

That is so stupid. All the people saying YDI for being fat - you'd make horrible salespeople - even if OP is too big for the clothes, they could have been buying for someone else. Or doing aspirational shopping. I would suggest a bitchy comment, or say you actually have a lot of money to spend on your friend/sibling/whatever but you'll take your business elsewhere. Some shops are more concerned with appearances. They'll come up and ask you what you want straightaway and if they don't have your size in one thing, they basically tell you that you should not browse and in fact should go far away.
