Panic attack

Today, I went to donate blood for the first time. When they stuck the needle in my arm, I had a panic attack and begged that they take it out. The woman helping me told me she'd take it out in a moment and left. It was then that the Red Cross stole a pint of my blood while I had a panic attack. FML

i gave blood in novermber last year and i can faintly remember a clause in all that paperwork that said if at any time you change your mind about giving they will stop the procedure. it sucks that they did that to you. i hope it doesnt deter you from giving blood in the future. its for a good cause. and no. 6 you are a jerk : /

She probably was busy trying to help others donate blood, or was thinking that all you needed was reassurance 'It will be out in a minute' in other words, when the blood is in the bag. But for goodness sake, don't sign up to donate blood if you will freak out once the hardest part is done with! Once the needle is in and blood is going into the bag that's it, just sit back and let the vein do the work. Pulling it out then just means you wasted their time, medical equipment, needles, and bloodbag, all because you 'Had a panic attack'.

Same thing happened to me and I passed out from going anemic.

everybody, he's saying that they "stole it" because the nurse wouldnt take the needle out until he was done donating the pint, really not that complicated

Well then if they 'stole it', why didn't you demand the blood-bag and take it home with you??? Would that make you feel better??

Wow poor you sucks that you may of saved someones life although, that is kind of creepy maybe she was scared you were on to them

You volunteered to donate blood. They're not stealing it from you. She already stuck the needle in you, and plus you were already there. I see what was messed up--the fact that they took it from you while panic attacking but, seriously, you volunteered. And you didn't die. So yeah.

Thats not that bad and you did it..so congrats

Getting blood taken is not bad... People are such vaginas when it comes to needles.
