Today, a friend who visited me a week ago with "allergy rashes" told me that it's actually scabies, and she hopes I didn't catch it from her. It takes 2-6 weeks for the symptoms to show and I can't use the medication for it anyway because I'm pregnant. FML

That's very inconsiderate of your friend to do knowing you're pregnant. Hope you didnt catch anything.

I hope you didn't catch anything, your friend is very inconsiderate to potentially put you through that!

Some friend of yours! She didn't take into consideration of your health or your unborn baby's.

Maybe she actually didn't know what was happening to her. In fact I think it shows a lot of maturity that she was able to tell her friend about her sickness.

Perhaps the friend thought it was an allergy rash at the time and later found out it was scabies. Wash everything you can really well. If you do get scabies see your doctor right away. There may be things you can use safely to help it.

scabies can be treated in pregnant women and infants with sulfur treatment.

Today a week ago is really strange wording lol

That's because all the FML's are required to start with "Today," and end in "FML". Even if they didn't happen today. :D

That's a very selfish thing for your friend to do, especially you being pregnant. Hope you're ok OP.

Just like any disease or std, if she knew about it, you can sue her!! Sue the **** out of her!!!

That's not really how the legal system works. I think you can only sue if someone knowingly exposes you to something like HIV. I mean, of course you can sue for whatever you want, but you probably won't win and will be wasting time and legal fees.

That's very inconsiderate of your friend. I hope you had a good talk with her about it.

Hot wash and disinfect everything. If she used a pillow or flannel or anything else that touched her face throw it out. My son caught these at daycare but we didn't get it as I cleaned all his stuff
