I do believe that is illegal and that you should take that up with the law. Parents or not.
they're right, if your account was originally styled as a minor savings account, it counts as fiduciary and if the money in the account isn't spent on spent entirely and directly on something for you, then they broke the terms of the account and are completely liable. Technically, they could've bought you the house, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
