Today, my boyfriend and I were having sex while his parents were out. They came home early, ran upstairs, and knocked on the door. Scrambling to find our clothes, we gave up and just hid under the blankets. They barged in, drunk and laughing, and tried ripping the covers off. FML

It sounds funny, but the message is: there's only one couple that should be having sex under this roof. If you don't have your own place, you are too young, poor and/or cheap to be having sex. And if you insist on having sex in your parents' house, have the decency to do it while they are not there -- jeez!

Parents are really only obligated to *accept* their children and the ensuing shenanigans until their kids become adults. Pretty sure any remote form of real-world respect parents can give to their children comes from said children learning to behave like a grown-up... like having consideration for the comfort and sensibilities of those beyond themselves, orrrr a basic understanding of the property rights of others. Primarily, grasping and staying within the parameters of *already established* rules and regulations on said property. Gonna have to /shudder go with Perdix on this one; their money, their house... their rules. OP really revealed all we need to know within context by stating that it was the second time this had occurred.
