Public freakout

Today, a customer at work became violent and started hitting me and my coworker. Not wanting him to get the shit beat out of us, I used a move that pinned the guy on the ground. The police came and he was arrested. I was then fired for assaulting a customer. FML

If the person is assaulting employees or other customers, they are no longer considered a customer.

Oh wow. That sucks. What did your boss expect? That you would let this guy beat the crap out of you and your co-worker? :S Oh those bosses these days.

Did they buy anything? If they didn't, they're not a customer.

What makes you think it's fake? Some employers out there really are assholes like that.

I can't believe people are screaming that "customer is always right" bullshit or saying YDI for not being a pussy. One company's retarded ******* motto is not law, and being in the building while not working there does not give you the right to start attacking people who are there to work. OP should appeal their termination and start looking for a different job before this one starts to become a living hell; preferably a new job where the manager isn't a brainless douchenozzle.

suing is used way too much in the us, and many of the lawsuits are frivolous, but this one sounds like you can look into suing.

Hunt down your ex-manager, and beat the living hell out of him. We'll see how much he likes it. Violence: the solution to every problem.

u should have let him beat the shit out of u, i guess

SUE YOUR ******* BOSS!! and shit i forgot what i was gonna say um....hold on im thinkin, uhhhhh...oh yeah. I will make a verbal graph for you. So out of 100% of all customers, i will show you the percent according to the following question. The customer is always?: 5% - Right. 95% - An Asshole.

It's called a citizen's arrest. You can hold someone under certain circumstances until the police arrive. Tell your boss he'll get a call from your lawyer.

**** anyone saying it's his fault, unless you're trolling. Knowing the dipshits here though, I doubt many are trolling. And goody goody for the UK having ways to help someone who is wrongfully terminated. Know what would make that not necessary? Not getting wrongfully terminated. Having managers who aren't spineless, brainless, dimwitted assholes would help as well. Corporate pussy mentality ftl.

Dude, i think u can file a report for being fired because u stopped a criminal
