When they pee on the carpet grab them and put their nose next to it and say "BAD!" it works, they get embarrassed.

omg your dog trainer is dumb. don't do that! the best way when you catch a puppy in the act is to just say in a firm voice "No! no potty inside" as you pick the puppy up(usually they will always stop) and carry him/her outside to finish. when they do, PRAISE them, say in a happy voice "good boy/girl, potty outside" they will pick up on the key words that potty inside is bad & potty outside is good. dogs just want to please their owners. if you find they pottied inside, but did not catch them in the act, you cannot punish them because they wont understand what they did. people need to do better research and planning when they get pets. would you shake a jar of pennies at an infant child when he ***** his diaper while in the process of being potty trained? PROBABLY NOT. so why would you do it to a puppy? having a puppy is the same concept. your dog is going to end up with anxiety and start freaking out over "scary" noises. stupid people should not be allowed to have pets.

Puppy only understand positive & negative commands. A stern " Noooo" with frown on your face is enough to explain them - that what they r doing is wrong. And since your puppy got away from mother, he/ she is bound to have diarrhea. Give probiotic powder mixed in milk. In case u missed out to tell No when puppy was doing pee or shit at wrong place, Take puppy to that spot, show him the pee, & tell Noooooo & just tap a little slap on his head. Then wipe that with paper & throw the paper at the spot where u want him to pee & poo. My puppy - Dolce, learned this on day one. She was just a month old when I brought her. She never spoils my room now. I m So proud of Dolce. Puppies understand your mood / temper more then you think they know!

Don't scare puppies. The puppy didn't poop on purpose. Puppies poop practically anywhere probably because it was not let out into the yard. ...couldn't find more p words to finish my alliteration sentence. Poop. That's positively preposterous.

Hopefully you and your trainer realize that shaking a can full of pennies is a completely stupid idea. If the dog pees or poops on the floor, it's because you neglected to regularly take the puppy out until it can learn to hold its bladder. YDI and good luck in your future puppy training endeavors.
