Go for a second opinion.
He should have definitely run a blood test. Feeling tired all the time, even after 10-12 hours of sleep can indicate lots of illnesses like hypothyroidism, depression or the lack of vitamins/iron/etc.
Starbucks.
Have you tried doing as the doctor suggested? If you did and it didn't help then it's an FML. If it helps, it's a lot cheaper and safer and a prescription - And then you would owe the doctor an apology. Not every condition requires popping prescription pills.
Where do people get the idea that taking your own prescribed pills could be so harmful but large doses of caffeine is not?
Well, if you haven't had caffeine in a while, that might actually be a plausible explanation.
I went to my doctor because I've been dehydrated no matter how much water I drink. They did some blood tests and called me with the results. "Your blood tests show that you are dehydrated."
I've been suffering from an unknown problem for months, the doctor had me get an MRI. I was charged over $3,000 to have the results tell me "You have swelling under the skin, here's a list of diseases you MIGHT have." That's all.
Sounds like you need a new doctor. Doctors are supposed to give out medical advice that aren't based on personal opinions. Not everyone's body works exactly the same.
Your symptoms aren't specific enough for them to just start giving you meds. If you notice you're losing weight (without changing your habits) you should go to the doctor and get checked again. Otherwise it could be anything from hypothyroidism to depression.

Coffee actually will help cure both. Caffeine is used to help both being tired and headaches.
Yes, but doesn't coffee help you keep yourself awake? If you're feeling tired and he is in fact a doctor as he claims (which it doesn't seem like he is) shouldn't he have told you to get more sleep or maybe prescribe something to help you sleep
