Today, I was taking a nap. Apparently, my two year old daughter decided to crawl on top of the covers on my bed because she was scared since there was a thunderstorm. I thought she was one of our cats so I kicked her off. She hit the wall. FML

LMAO must have been a hard kick to do that and even then, why the hell would you kick a cat that hard?

I don't think your child will be crawling in your bed anymore for a while... if ever.

oh my god why is everyone being so mean im not saying it was ok for her to kick her cat, but you know when you're half asleep half awake you dont really think about these things do you, you only think about getting back to the happy place that is sleep.

the visual of this is just too perfect.

Im the one who submitted this (almost word for word, so FML changed crap around and made it different.) Im a guy and it was actually my dad who kicked me off the bed 15 years ago. I just had to write it like I was my dad for the "Today, etc etc" format. I think its a pretty damn funny story. He didn't kick me hard enough to make me slam into the wall. And to all the "OMGZ ANIMAL ABUSE" piss off and get a sense of humor. I turned out perfectly fine so don't worry about any damage done to me.

810 - razzumfrazzum, we might reach 1000. I am actually surprised the comments have not been turned off yet. Wow though, it seems as though many of the people who read this FML are stupid as hell. I am glad that at least some of the commenters have a brain. The OP did not kick as hard as she could to get her "cat" off of the bed. I love my cat, but I have kicked her off of the bed. It is not like I made her fly across the room, I pretty much just nudged her probably like the OP actually did to her/his child. God, you people act as though the OP kicked thier child across the room.......which I doubt would be even possible while laying down, even if you tried. As some of the few with brains pointed out, the OP probably just nudged her child off the bed, they fell, and hit the wall. I could see how a toddler could be mistaken for a cat. Sure, a toddler would weigh more, but how many of you are going to lay there, half awake, and analyze the situation first? If you are going to actually think about what is going on, most likely you are just going to open your eyes. For the others saying "how dare you take a nap", god are you that stupid? I highly doubt the OP decided to take a nap and let their child run around unsupervised. I am sure there was either someone else there, like the other parent, or the child had been put down for a nap themself.

@815: It wasn't even a nap. It was during night when everyone was asleep. I crawled out of my bed and got at the foot of my parents' bed.

816/go_falcons/OP Well, in the version that got posted, it said nap and I was just getting after the people who made it sound like you were left unattended. Exactly how did your story go when you originally submitted it, I know in a previous comment you mentioned that some of your story was changed......

It was almost the exact same thing: Today, My 3 year old son decided to climb onto the foot of my bed in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm because he was scared. I thought he was one of our cats, so I kicked him off. He hit the wall. FML It was almost the exact same thing minus the nap/daughter thing. I had to write it like I was my dad just for formatting purposes.

go_falcons, I have a few stories that I have tried to submit. Some happened to me years ago that obviously I had to change a little due to the formatting. Do you get some sort of confirmation that your story was posted or do you just have to find it?

So you have a habit of kicking your cats?
