I hope you got his license plate.
they always say if your in a minor crash which that's what it sounds like to move to the shoulder and call a cop
Always take pictures before moving your car
I always take a picture of the license plate just in case something like this happens. Because then the person gets even more trouble because then it turns into a hit and run
Would have been safer (regardless of your states law) to call the police first, and write down the license plate number, then depending on what the police operator said you could have moved out of traffic at that point. The whole process would have taken less than 5 minutes. I understand you nay have been a little shaken from the accident but in today's world you just can't trust people at face value. Gotta stay a step ahead.
Why didn't you just take a picture from the license plate? That could've helped you.
Wow what a wanker!
In this day of smart phones always try to take a pic of the cars in their original accident positions and the license plate and if possible, the driver. Then you have all the proof of fault you need as well as evidence for hit and run charges.
Woah, in my state we are expected to move off the road...Never knew it wasn't the same for everyone else. I should keep that in mind.

Never move a car for an accident. Something simple as that can make you at fault.
Not in Texas. If you can drive your vehicle you better move it or you'll be fined for impeding traffic. And you could've always followed him.
