I kind of know what I'm talking about, considering my husband is ALSO a US Marine currently deployed to Afghanistan.

AND. just because they might not be infantry doesn't mean they won't see combat. JUST SAYIN.

Let's not start an argument over which branch is the toughest, because that makes you look like a real ********. Why can't we all agree that anyone who serves the country deserves respect? Is it really that hard?

I was a former Marine too Lady and I did my combat tours also, so YOU DON'T THINK that I don't know what I'm talking about when I know more then you! Plus Infantry do all the fighting in the wars, not POG's. So when people say "thanks for serving our country", not all service members deserve it cuz some didn't even put in work in country at all. That's why there are POG's and Grunts. Learn your shit before you talk shit! >:P

just because they are a pog doesn't mean they don't work or deserve respect. my husband is a pog and in Afghanistan, he works his ass off! All of the pogs over there deserve respect. they are all leaving family behind and sacrificing something.

infantry or not, a marine is a marine and they're all trained to kill. and whether he's seen combat or not doesn't matter either, that's still a very dangerous country. have u been lately? maybe you'll learn to think before u just bash the person defending your right to bash him: but I seriously doubt that

my husband works 20 hours a day, 7 days a week for 7 months straight. I don't care if you're a former Marine, hot shit. if you care so much about "who deserves recognition," why don't you go do radio watch for 16 hours with no sleep, have a bomb thrown over the wall of your FOB, throw on all your flack in less than 10 seconds, and take the mother ****** out. please, because then my husband who apparently sees nothing over there, can then REALLY live up to your idiotic assumptions. think before you speak, asshole.

You diss pencil pushers in the army, but they make sure you get your les every month, make sure your will and power of attorney is squared away, plan the logistical operations for you! Truck drivers make sure your ass is fed, have fuel for your vehicles and bring in your supplies to your infantry unit. You also gonna trash talk the air force when your entire base gets overwhelmed by the enemy? Then dont ******* use the radio to use the AF pilots to call for fire when your ass needs them to incinerate a bunch of enemies trying to over run your position. if there was a war on the sea, the navy has very powerful weapons to decimate the enemy. Airforce: awesome air fire power...etc Grunts arent the only ones that "deserve respect."
