Today, I was on my third date with a really hot girl. A guy walked by singing the Pokémon theme song. She started making fun of the guy, mocking his immaturity. I joined in, in order to keep the conversation going. Everything was going great but then my phone rang. It's the Pokémon theme song. FML

Today, I went on a date. Met the guy at the restaurant, everything seemed to be going OK, but then he spent the entire dinner talking about Pokemon GO, and wouldn't let me say a word. He suddenly stops talking, gets up, says he, "doesn't feel a connection" and leaves. I had to pay the bill. FML

Today, I thought a cute and well-dressed guy, with a mask matching his shoes, was taking a picture of me. Flattered, I approached him. Turns out, he was playing Pokémon Go and was just trying to catch a “Geodude.” He also blurted out that he was gay. He's into dudes and Geodudes. FML

Believe it or not, you don't deserve it for having the pokemon theme as your ringtone. You deserve it because you followed along with her rather than standing up for yourself (And what you obviously enjoy). I grew out of Pokemon many, many years ago, but I don't care if it's fuzzy monsters, fast cars, hockey, whatever; if you like something, don't make fun of it just to impress a girl.

Don't be ashamed of your fandoms, no matter what they are. If someone dislikes your fandom enough to leave you for it, they're obviously not good for you anyway.
