daddy's home.
Daddy's coming...
OMG ... That was the best comment!
I don't understand why she deserved it...? Its a job like any other.
Yes, but she deserves that phone call because she chose not to tell her family and her dad found out by watching her. I would tell my family to avoid this awkward situation because eww.
But it isn't though. It's one thing to come home and say "hey, I'm an engineer" vs "I'm a **** star." Both would have very different reactions.
I have a lot of friends who are sex workers, and a couple of them were disowned by family because of it. Sex work is a career that people do choose but it's not widely respected and sometimes it just isn't safe or feasible to tell family. We don't know enough about her situation to say she deserves it for not telling her family. Maybe it wasn't safe for her to disclose.
and most people probably use the services that this job provides. im guessing most of the "you deserved" it people are hypocrites. hope all s well at your end OP!!
Just remember, OP, whatever you're comfortable with doesn't matter; it's much more important to ensure other people, especially family members, are comfortable. You are not your own person, and your job is to cater to the expectations of society. Not to mention, societal norms never change. That's why we still spend the twenty or so years we live as nomadic hunters, making sacrifices to numerous deities. I cannot stress enough how bad it is so do something others may perceive as abnormal or worthy of shame.
I seriously hope you're joking #22
Even if you're unsure about the rest of the post, how could you possibly take "That's why we still spend the twenty or so years we live as nomadic hunters, making sacrifices to numerous deities" seriously?
This is heavily coated in sarcasm #26, I wouldn't worry too much
I am trying to figure out why this comment was down voted at all, the best I can come up with is that some people thought this very obviously sarcasm drenched comment seriously
#52 - You can't see how people might disagree with this comment? Your life is not all about yourself. Of course, you should spend a significant amount of your time with making other people happy instead of just yourself.
You really don't think there is a middle ground between "making other people happy instead of just yourself" and my sarcastic comment? I implied she shouldn't feel ashamed for a currently stigmatized profession, not that she has to be some narcissist.
It's your fault for choosing a ***** job. If you didn't want this to happen you shouldn't have become a *****
Shes not a damn *****
Well by definition she is but not for her enjoyment
You're just as smart as those two cows in your profile picture
You're a ******* asshole. I hope that you choke to death on a dick.
that's her job
It's shocking how judgemental people can be. OP could be really happy with her life. Shame on you for trying to make her feel bad because she doesn't live up to YOUR standards.
The thought just made me cringe. Just the awkwardness of the situation. Anything involving your parents knowing part of your sex life, is awful. Hahaha. I've been married five years and I still refuse to believe they know we have sex.
Can't say you didn't deserve it lol
Haha hahahahaha. That's great.
How did this get published instead of going on It Definitely Is? (if you don't know what that is - Google it)

Surely that's the kind of thing you should disclose to those close to you? To avoid situations such as this..
