Shut up!

Today, I lost power. That didn't stop my house alarm from running on battery, loudly informing me in a British accent, "AC power disconnected. BEEP. AC power disconnected. BEEP." It's been going on for 5 hours and the battery takes a special screwdriver to remove. One we don't have. FML

Go buy the right screwdriver? Wouldn't take anyone else 5 hours to figure that out

Damn, you act like it's an insult to have your accent grouped with the others. My Texan accent varies with those of other Americans, and I don't get offended when someone calls it an American accent.

I have the same problem... Only to add to the alarm on the inside it has a huge megaphone on the roof in the front and back of the house... It screams "warning there may be an intruder" or "warning possible fire." it is quite sensitive too.

this is the one thing duct tape wont fix... or will it?

And that's why you need a sonic scewdriver.

why wouldn't you have that screwdriver seeing as you could need it for situations like these, ydi for being unprepared then whining about it

did the power go out because of hurricane Irene? cause then u cant go out and get the screwdriver! fyl indeedy!

Ever think about pressing the off button

This reminds me of the time when your phone dies out of battery but it has the power to light up and beep a thousand times to warn you to charge it. British accents aren't so bad!

Hammers don't work on Skynet; been there tried that.
