I feel this, because I can't stand snoring either! Tell him politely that you need to work early. He should understand. Next time, go sleep on the couch (or tell him to, since you're the one that needed to work so he should be the one to compromise.) Alternatively, take Nyquil at night and lots of caffeine in the morning. That's what I do.

Couldn't you just move to another room? Or get some ear plugs? Or ask him to be a little more quiet? Sounds to me like this could have been avoided.
Either tell him to shut up or go sleep on the couch.
