FYL, dude. Paintball guns look so different from real guns
were u in his house, thats why he assumed u were robbing him? this makes no sense if u were standing on his porch even with a gun in hand
Hardly, if i was grappling with somebody I thought was threatening me with a weapon, having them shoot me once would only increase my desire to tear their head off before they could do it again. Besides, the whole point of disarm drills is that the assailant doesn't have TIME to get a shot off before the weapon is under your control.
hahahaha, good start with the new neighbour, ay?
A gun is a gun, real or otherwise. As an ex-soldier, you are trained to perceive a stranger facing you holding a gun as a threat. It's a natural reaction for a soldier to try to subdue and disarm any perceived threat. YDI for being an absent-minded dumbass for bringing your gun with you. Be lucky you didn't get your retarded ass choked out.
and klutzy they make paintball guns that look exactly like real ones. the paintball pistol has no hopper or giant air tank so no you can't tell the difference.
Aw man, that's gotta suck. While I have to agree that it would have been a better idea to put up something to block your wayward shots and not fire in the direction of someone's house, I have to respect that you were going to own up to it and apologize for your mistake. Getting caught in a chokehold usually isn't what you want when you're trying to be a little responsible, so FYL.

FYL since your neighbor can't seem to tell the difference between a real gun and a paintball gun.
First of all OP is a dumbass for shooting paintballs in a backyard, also for calling them bullets. And second it is a natural reaction to assume he has a real pistol because it's a paintball pistol, not a full size marker. Most of the time they have clips to feed the balls in and usually are black. From a distance you can easily mistake it for a real gun. Especially when you're a trained killer and instinct kicks in. You're not going to wait for him to point the gun at your face and shoot you.
