i'm sorry but you really need to teach him that swearing at his parents is completely disrespectful and inappropriate, especially when he's five years old and relies on you for his livelihood.

Maybe he had a bad day? Still, swearing at such a young age is inexcusable for me. Maybe he's picking it up from other kids at his school, or maybe even you if you swear regularly. I hope you scolded him and told him it wasn't right.

Yes, the best way to teach a child swearing is wrong and hurtful is to hit him so much it becomes ingrained in his memory forever and he is forever scared of his own father. That's a great way for the poor boy to live the rest of his life. Sounds like the foundation for a wonderful father-son relationship filled with trust, compassion, and understanding. </sarcasm>

I guess you need to know where he learned that and from whom. A 5 years old doesn't say such stuff out of the blue. You need to teach him that it's inappropriate.
