Today, I was feeling really down, so I texted my boyfriend and asked him to tell me why he loves me, thinking he would cheer me up. His response? "Don't bug me with this stupid shit anymore. You always ask such dumb questions." FML

You picked the wrong boyfriend. Though, if you just texted and said "Why do you love me?" without any explanation, that would piss anyone off.

well clearly you fish for compliments all the time

YDI for being stupid. You probably always ask him the same shit. That shit gets annoying. You got served!

There's a way to have a man make you feel better: Be honest. You could have texted him, "Hey babe. I'm not feeling so happy today, and I could really use someone to cheer me up." Chances are, if he really does love you, he would have said something nice that would have fixed you up.

yeah, to be honest, that's a really obnoxious and needy question and it sounds like it's not the first time you have asked a question like that. So maybe you should do something about your life instead of sitting back and waiting for people to fan you with compliments that you force out of them

Why would ask a question like that so randomly? It would also annoy me. Learn how to be more direct and honest, and stop playing little emotion games.

Haha its funny how like all the guys say YDI and some of the girls are like sympathizing with her xD

If you told him you were having a bad day and needed him to cheer you up then if he was nice he would have told you. In that case, FYL he's a dick. But if you just called him and randomly asked that question, that would be weird for him. In that case YDI. Still, he could have been nicer about it.

You totally deserved that one. You seem to be questioning your relationship with him, if you feel that he doesn't love you, then you shouldn't be with him. You should've just plan and told him that you were down and looking for a little comfort...My ex use to do the same thing. He always asked me questions just like that and I got pretty annoyed by it.

Wow, I am SO glad I'm not dating 90% of the little boys in this thread. You guys all have some serious growing up to do if you ever think that responding to someone you supposedly care about in such a callous manner is anywhere near acceptable, even if it's a question that annoys you. I can tell you'll all have a decidedly difficult time finding a girlfriend. Jesus Christ.

okay, so first off i always asked my boyfriend this & it was cute to hear him answer then he'd ask me the same thing, i'd get rid of the guy you have, apparently he doesn't care whether you know if he cares for you.
