Today, after years of listening to my coworker complaining about everything in her life, including her job, I finally stood up to her and bitched at her for complaining and not doing anything about it. She went to my boss, and now it's in my job description to listen to her when she complains. FML

Today, a random customer at work admonished my coworker for being on her phone. During our lunch break. As he walked away, my coworker muttered, "What the fuck is his problem?" I nodded in agreement. He heard her and saw me nodding. As did our boss. Time to get written up. FML

Today, at work, my phone rang. My intern answered it and told me it was a coworker who'd just left. I picked up and said "What's up bitch? What are you going to complain about now?!" It was actually my boss. FML

Today, my boss yelled at me, telling me that I can't answer the phone anymore. Not because I do a bad job, but because a co-worker whined about it being her job. People call her and complain about how rude she is and then ask to talk to me. FML

Today, I overheard my husband of 3 years talking to our boss, an attractive blonde. She was telling him that she couldn't believe he was with me. She thinks I'm fat and ugly and that he's hot. He said, "She's not that bad…" We work in the same store and she follows him around like a puppy. FML

Today, while out to lunch, my sister called me and asked me to pick her up from the mall. I told her she'd have to wait. She got pissed off and started cursing at me, so I hung up on her. While it can be disconcerting to think that someone's talking to you because you can't see their bluetooth or headset, the problem here is less that you responded when you thought she was talking to you and wasn't than HOW you responded. You would have to be an idiot to just go off on your boss (especially about issues that are totally unrelated to work and your professional relationship with her, like her weight) rather than ask her if she's talking to you, ask her what she's referring to, ask her what she's upset about, etc.

#8 oh yeah, the OP used really "complex sentence structure." especially when he/she stated "screaming how she just "tired" with my bull shit" tired *with*? since only "tired" is quoted, i assume the rest is the OPs wording, not the boss', that just sounds like something that a four year old might say (i.e.: "I'm tired with these toys") maybe try a contraction there, OP? she's just "tired"... and how about "of"? c'mon. trying to sound too intelligent makes you sound like an idiot.

On the one hand, never blow up at your boss (even if you're being fired)--I work for a background checking company and we ALWAYS call peoples' past bosses. Good luck getting a new job after behaving like that! But to be fair, it's pretty unprofessional of your boss to be walking around yelling things like that on a personal phone call.

This ******* owns. Now THIS is an FML. While it's a YDI, people with bluetooth headsets need to realise how ******* demented and coked out of their minds they look when they have nasty arguments with people over them. They might as well sit at the side of a building and piss their pants so at least they won't look out of place. Your boss is an idiot for that reason.
