Today, the bus came to pick up my daughter to take her to kindergarten. When it honked, I opened the door for her to let her run out to it. Halfway there, she tripped and started crying. I couldn't run out because I was still in my underwear. Now her bus thinks I'm the worst mom ever. FML

Today, I had to catch a shuttle bus. I awoke to the sound of a car horn. I ran out in my boxers and saw a bus take off down the road. I chased it, thinking I had missed my bus. I realized I hadn't only when I saw frightened kids in the back of the bus. FML

Today, after having bought my daughter a complete set of new school clothes, she threw a tantrum and refused to wear them. I told her she could either wear them, or go to school naked. She made if half-way down the street in the nude before I caught up and dragged her back inside. FML

Today, I took the bus. The old lady next to me almost fell when the driver stopped, but I managed to catch her. Five minutes later, the same thing happened to me. The old lady tried to help me, but I lost my balance and pulled her skirt down. FML

Today, I missed my bus by a minute. I called up my step-dad asking him if he could drive me because I had a test first period. After about calling him twenty times, and him not picking up, I saw him drive by the bus stop, pointing at me and laughing hysterically. FML

Today, I was walking towards the bus. The bus was scheduled to leave at 3:20, and it was 3:19 so I decided to run for it. As the doors were closing, I managed to just slip my hand into the door, so it didn't fully close. The bus driver saw this, looked at my face, and then drove away. FML

Today, while picking my daughter up from school, I saw her being beaten by two boys while the teacher stood there doing nothing. I ran to help, but then she pushed one of the boys off her. The teacher then pulled her away, yelled at her and then yelled at me for "not raising my kid right." FML

For what it's worth, I would have gone out to my child in my underwear, or even naked; but others have raised a fair point: children fall over all the time and skin their knees and it's not the end of the world. If OP had gone out in her underwear, and comforted her child, what should she have done then?: a) kiss her daughter better, and then send her daughter on her way to the bus on her own; b) take her child by the hand and walk her to the bus door; c) ?? Hmmm, not really great options. Given how children like to laugh at other children, OP probably spared her daughter the greater embarrassment by not going out.

yah her own daughter will be scared for life knowing her mom walks around the house in her underwear. as long as its only the house its fine now if this was at the store or she had driver her daughter to the bus stop diffrent story. its just her house though so calm down you act like everyone needs to be fully clother 24/7 365.

OP HERE! OMG! I submitted this like 2 months ago. I read this thing everyday and was absolutely shocked to see my submission posted! I'm not from maryland though o.O I'm from Oklahoma. Ok so here's the thing, I was sleeping in a tshirt and panties. Her bus always pulls up and honks. Because I live in Oklahoma it is very very cold this time of year (colder when this happened). So rather than wait for the bus outside I just wait with her by the door until the bus honks, I give her a kiss and open the door. She literally has to walk less than 10 feet to the bus. This one time though she tripped and i didn't know what to do. I didnt run to put clothes on because i wanted to keep an eye on her. Anyways, when the bus dropped her off later I explained the situation and me and the bus lady laughed, so it was all good. Now I own a robe and put it on every morning just in case something like that ever happens again. By the way Charlie ( my daughter) was fine and didn't even have a bruise. :) LOL! STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I'M ON FML! HAHAHAHHAHA That's great.

How do you know that person is not actually the OP? A lot of people on here submit FML's under a different name than their actual account is under. It's possible that person is actually the OP and is just not using the same name.
