These people are the worst

Today, my brother wore a T-shirt to my birthday party that said "I dig skinny chicks". I'm a recovering anorexic and told him that I didn't really like his shirt. His response? "Don't let the liberal media brainwash you into thinking it's OK to be fat." FML

I hope you punched him in the face. He's your brother, so it's alright for siblings to fight. Actually, while you're at it, give him a beating.

kick him in the nuts so he doesn't reproduce. eat three meals a day and you will look fine.

Why is it that fat ugly girls that have the biggest problem with this? So OP is super insecure, not her brother's problem. And anorexia isn't an illness, it's a mental state that has been classified as an illness because only super low self esteem people fee that way and telling their stupid won't fix them. Tough luck OP, get over yourself

Not op's brothers fault she can't live with herself. Stop encouraging her.

I really hope for once that the OP doesn't read the comments section here.

What a cuntbag. Good luck with your recovery.

@46 This is FML. Everyone is going to overreact, even if the topic is stupid.

I think that we also have to consider that this is not just some stranger wearing a t-shirt to some random event. This is OP's brother, who knows her struggle and how deeply this must have affected her, and it's on OP's birthday, a day on which the people that care about you are supposed to try a little harder than normal to celebrate you and respect your wishes. Given the circumstances, it was really insensitive of OP's brother.

There is difference between skinny & anorexic. Also why do you care about what he likes? Make your choices and recognise the difference.

The opposite of anorexia is not morbid obesity. Get over yourself. Just because he likes skinny chicks doesn't mean he's condoning anorexia.

That isn't the point. Can't you see how insensitive it is to wear a t-shirt like that in front of somebody that you know full well is recovering from anorexia (especially considering it was at her own birthday party)?

Dear people commenting that the OP overreacted, if you have never had anorexia and you have never been in her shoes and lived with her exact triggers shut the **** up.
