dude i used to work for ralphs. i figured out a LONG time ago how to count change based on its weight. if it was all pennies you should have just thrown them on the scale and used a roll of pennies (.50) as your base weight. simple as that. you fail for not thinking of it.
this works except that older (solid copper) pennies are heavier than the new pennies which are I think zinc coated in copper. it can get you close but not spot on.
I know 5 or 10 minutes here and there doesn't sound like much, but it adds up. Up until recently, people at my work didn't get paid to close up, which takes around 15 minutes if all goes well. Over 5 days, that's 1.25 hours - around $25. If you work 50 weeks a year, that's $1250 you're getting screwed out of. People need to learn to stop undervaluing their time. If you're working, you should be paid. It's that simple.
where DO they get all those pennies from...
i use to wrk at a gas station and get does alot sime time i would give away free stuff or pay it out of my pocket so that i wont have to deal with those cheap ass
What?
Does? Really?
Pennies are still money.
Sooooo ******* funny. As if those poor people's lives weren't bad enough working at McDonalds, dipshits like you have to come in and pay in pennies. If I were those cashiers, I would take your pennies and throw them as hard as I ******* could at your face. I think the opportunity to assault your dumb ass would be worth losing that miserable job any day.
