By dumb tourists - 31/03/2013 06:19 - China - Beijing

Today, a blonde tourist came up to me and asked me for directions to the nearest train station. I politely directed her there, and she left. Five minutes later, she came back and slapped me for not bringing her to an "English-speaking station". We're in China, lady. FML

Kudos to her for tracking you down just to give you a slap.

"Today, a blonde tourist.." I expected something like this to happen

I like how you felt the need to point out that she's blonde.

C'mon OP where's that ancient Chinese wisdom I've heard so much about?

Okay where in the FML did it say the tourist was American? I wasn't aware the United States was the only country on Earth that has blonde people.

Why is everyone assuming she was American? She's obviously Irish.

Alright, pointing out that she was blonde is just rude and ignorant.

He wasn't pointing it out to make fun of blondes. He was pointing it out to show that she obviously was not Chinese, thus solidifying the point of the FML. Just because you are offended, does not mean you are in the right. Deal with it.

I'm surprised she recognized you among all the other Chinese people (assuming you're East Asian).

Yeah because all Chinese people totally look the same and wear the same clothes.

I thought OP left so how did she find him? Lmao!

No, she left not OP. So no need to LYAO.

Ok I agree what she did was stupid, but why point out that she is a blonde? Isn't that a very stereotypical view of blondes. I mean , sure there might be a lot of dumb blondes, but which statistics say that there are no dumb brunettes, or redheads? If she is stupid, she is stupid. The colour of her hair is irrelevant. P.s. I didn't see the other comment about stereotype.

He was just using it to make the point that she obviously wasn't from China. Chill hun.

No, OP was simply playing off the all blondes are stupid stereotype. He could have easily said foreigner to indicate she was, in fact, a foreigner.

Man, people are overly sensitive these days.
