Today, a classmate at college accused me of stalking her. All because I walked past her house. I was walking to the supermarket. FML

Since there's no proof that you are stalking her, you can't get in trouble. Maybe you should make a point to avoid her, so she can't get any more crazy ideas in her head.

I hope it's that way in Australia. In the U.S, just an accusation of stalking could potentially stay with you for the rest of your life if the accuser is persistent.

Tell her to put her ego on a leash and stop harassing you.

Don't lie. Clearly you had far more nefarious plans than just walking to the supermarket. You were going to cook a delicious meal, weren't you?

Take another way to the grocery store next time

They shouldn't have to change just because someone is full of themselves.

This is why I dont speak to humans in my Uni

This reminds me of a story in People I read a few years back. The mother of a grade-school aged girl went to the police and told them that a man in their neighborhood followed her daughter (who walked) home every day from school in his car. Without waiting to hear back, she printed up a bunch of fliers with his address saying that he was a pedophile, etc. He was actually a teacher at the school her daughter attended, so they left at about the same time and took the same route to the neighborhood where they both lived. He was so harassed by vigilantes that he ended up having to move.

Many people these days have seriously misinterpreted the meaning of "stalking."
