Today, a customer punched me in the face for repeating their order back to them because they thought I was making fun of their speech impediment. I have the same speech impediment. FML

Today, I had to call a customer. I usually try to avoid calling customers because I have a very prominent speech impediment. Well, it turns out the customer I called also has a speech impediment and thought I was mocking her. She hung up on me and filed a formal complaint with my company. FML

Today, while at work, a customer refused to speak louder, despite me asking her to do it several times. As a result, I took her order incorrectly. The customer then finally decided to raise her voice, but only to yell at me about my poor listening skills. FML

Today, I have a speech impediment that's recently become more noticeable. My entire family has decided that the best way to go about handling it is to mock me whenever I try to say something. FML

Today, at work, I was trying to repeat an order back to this guy, when his drunk girlfriend started to interrupt me. Whenever I would open my mouth, she would say "Blah blah blah." Literally. Eventually, I gave up. I got his order wrong, and got yelled at by my manager for not repeating his order. FML

Today, I was teaching a small group of improv students. I asked one guy to do a monologue, and laughed to myself while he did so. I said, "Sorry, I'm just laughing at the way you're doing it." He then got upset and pointed out that he had a speech impediment. FML

I somewhat agree. And can you people please stop bitching at this guy? He knows it sounds offensive, he doesn't mean for it to sound offensive, and all you people care about is how offended you are. I agree because a customer would complain to the manager about not understanding the employee. But, the customer went a little to far.

I have worked in the food industry and you really don't have a choice where you are placed. If you know a spot that is where you are put. Two people I worked with had speech impediments and had to work counter and drive thru. Most managers don't care if you have a problem, you have to do what they want you to do. If you were uncomfortable with a position at the job you should say something before gettin hired so you don't get trained to do it.

If I listen to someone with a speech impediment or an accent long enough, I just automatically start talking like them for a little while. I can't stop it. I've been hit before, so I kinda feel yøur pain.

94- that was pretty mean to say. So he can't spell and has bad grammar. Who says English is their first language? And they could have a learning disability, like myself. Without spell check my spelling would be a ton worse then it is. And if it wasn't for my school my grammar would be horrible. Your comment was mean and rude to not just the comment OP.
