My boss's reaction when I called the police: "Why didn't you give him the discount?!" Last week he bitched me out for letting a girl off for being a few cents short on hers. FML

Today, I was waiting in line while a lady paid for her shopping, when her credit card got declined. She started ranting and insulting everyone and kept insisting: "I'm not poor!" By the time the lady had finally stormed off, I had spittle on my face, and the cashier was almost in tears. FML

Today, after finally getting rid of an extremely rude, abusive customer, I muttered that I could kill people like her. I didn't know my manager had heard me, until a pair of police officers arrived. He'd reported me for "threatening to murder a customer". FML

Today, at work, I had a customer accuse me of taking the giftcard I had issued her for her return, after spending 15 minutes trying to fix her screwed up transaction. She began to yell, and follow me around the store. Security had to intervene and I had to be locked in an office until she left. FML

tell him you can try the card one more time because there may have been a computer error. when he gives you the card try it again and get the name off the card and power to call a manager to discuss the issue. have him wait to the side while you call security and have them call the police or however they want to deal with it. give them the details of the situation, his name and description. when he comes over to find out what's taking so long, tell him your manager is on lunch and your trying to contact another manager. that's when you contract your manager and let him or her know what is going on.

That isnt always the issue. My card has been declined because my bank put a hold on it and called my husband who was deployed (and therefore didnt get the call). It was on hold because i did four online purchases back to back. So they thought it was stolen.
