Today, a customer yelled, "I'll bash your fuckin' face in, cunt" at me at 9:30am because we don't serve the lunch menu at breakfast time. Yes, the 15-year-old girl in high school is responsible for McDonald's entire menu. FML

I think every person should have to work in customer service before they die..

Translation of sammiking's comment: "I feel like an idiot for making an obvious comment, and I feel like an even bigger idiot for then clarifying my obvious comment, so now I'm going to do exactly what the customer in the story did and go completely apeshit to cover up my needless frustration and make myself look like an asshole." breakfast food > normal menu at all times of the day, they should extend the breakfast menu all day

I believe I read an article once stating they were using a few specific locations as trial runs for breakfast all day, to see if it's profitable. I wish I lived in those locations.

I work at McDonald's too so I feel you. I get yelled at a lot because some McDonald's apparently started serving breakfast all day but the one I work at didn't.

No wonder you have 89 submitted FMLs. Customers in McDonalds must be difficult to handle

So sorry, OP! That was totally uncalled for.

Don't get upset she's probably on her period

That's right, because they couldn't have been a dick or anything so let's blame it on the period.

I feel you. I work at McDonald too and one time while working overnights I got yelled at by a customer at 4 in the morning because we weren't allowed to serve her a big mac because we started serving breakfast at 4 but we couldn't change the outside menu to our breakfast menu due to safety reasons. Sometimes customers can just be an ass and sometimes they aren't.

I take it people like that customer were the "safety reasons."

If you don't change your menu, you kind of deserve some grief.

I hate to break it to you, but not serving lunch foods when you display them is considered false advertisement.

Should file a complaint with the FTC that McDs is false advertising by not subjecting their employees to being outside in the dark behind a building in a bad part of town to flip a piece of plastic around.

Now I'm not sure whose rule it is for us not allowed outside after hours either its corporate itself or the owner. But overnight usually has three employees working. A manger and two crew member. We were not allowed outside due to either getting rob easily or something bad could happen to us in the dark. Menus aren't allowed to be changed till 6 in the morning when the rest of the morning crew gets in.

I second that. No one should get away with using that kind of language in a place where little kids and grown ups are trying to get their greasy food and plastic toys in peace!
