just cause it's not "setting an example" doesn't mean that the douche bag didn't get why he deserved. if the cops didn't arrest him I'm sure that could would have gotten a mental handicap him self. and I would then tell the op's kid to laugh at him.

Even if he completely deserved a good smack doesn't justify doing so. I know exactly how hard it can be though. At the rate the world is going, the bully has a pretty good possibility of someday fathering a child with some sort of mental disability. I know it's said often, but the world is a very ignorant, sick place.

I'm sorry you had to go through that, OP. That brat deserved it...but next time beat him so senseless that he won't remember what happened, much less be able to pick you out of a line-up. If there were any witnesses, I'm sure they would understand. Let your son know that it is NOT ok to be bullied. Law enforcement should not be needed to handle situations like this.
