Today, after a full shift at work, I got home to my boyfriend playing CoD, a full sink, crap all over the table, a full cat box, dirty bathroom, no laundry done and the kids at my parents' house. He yelled at me because the place was a mess. FML

Today, I left my husband in charge of the house for a day. When I returned, I saw him gaming through the window, so I stormed in and yelled at him. Then, my eyes adjusted, and I saw the neatly folded laundry, clean kitchen, vacuumed rugs, and my son, who was asleep until I woke him. Whoops. FML

Today, while my parents were grocery shopping, I cleaned the kitchen, swept floors, did laundry, and cleaned bathrooms, only to finish right before they got home. After dinner, my dad bitched and complained that I didn't take out the trash and he had no room to throw away his paper plate. FML

Today, after a short trip out of town, I came back late at night to the yard clean, the house swept and mopped, all the laundry done, and my son asleep. I was thrilled with my boyfriend, until I found him passed out, covered in spilled beer and piss. FML

Today, I came home after ten hours at work to find my unemployed wife and 4 kids sprawled out watching TV waiting for me to get home and cook for them. I had to wash all the dishes first because they didn't feel like getting up or helping. FML

Today, after my man told me to get the dishes done and clean up the kitchen, he got mad at me because I didn’t answer my phone when our son needed medicine that was downstairs. I didn’t hear it ring because I was throwing out the trash, cleaning out the fridge, and washing the dishes, like I was told to do. FML

Kick his ass. If you're supporting him, he'd better get used to being a house husband and learn to use the washing machine. If you're both working, you should be contributing equally to housework. If COD is the issue, give the Xbox to your parents so your kids can still play it. Dude's a father (presumably) and an adult, he needs to grow up and contribute. And if he won't, there are other guys who will.

You deserve this. The fact that he so confidently let the house rot and then yelled at you implies you have been putting up with this shot for a long time and now he thinks you will always put up with it.

not sure how you guys do your chore breakdown, but how about sharing chores regardless of who works or how much. you'll find it benefits you both to work together and communicate rather than have false expectations.
