i'm sure it couldn't have been that big of a deal, if you really needed him, you could have just called him, he would have definitely talked to you then. i do not have limited texting, but i can imagine that they are something used for more of an "emergency" then just every day talk since they are so limited!

eww, what an ass. Dump that kid....by texting you and saying he only has 8, hes making it clear he doesnt want YOU texting him, because he doesnt want to answer yours. Who would he be saving the last 7 for? And the fact that he didnt call, thats a major deuche point. I feel for you, honey!

to counter all the women out there (including OP) who think that "men are pigs" because of this: 1) texts are like gold when they're limited, ESPECIALLY if he's only got 8 left. 2) in a situation where you need serious cheering up, OP should have called. texting does not do the job. 3) he did not waste that text. as many have pointed out, he used 1 text to save a conversation. 4) in the dude's defense, when i FIRST read OP's post, my first thought was "this guy probably meant it in a romantic way, meaning that he cannot express his feelings sufficiently through only 8 texts, and he tried to say this through a witty remark". i thought this because that's what i would've done. if my gf was in a state that needed such cheering up, a comment like this taken the right way can put a smile on her face.

That sucks. Texting plans all suck. Limited makes you have to be concious about how much you're using. Unlimited is super expensive. Then when you have none at all, like me, people don't know that and send you texts anyway! THEN you end up having to pay like a dollar for each text you get.

My boyfriend's done the same thing to me. You could've called him, but then he might have told you that he doesn't have unlimited calling time either. This is why cell phones suck. :-
