Today, after being annoyed one too many times by my students' whiney attitudes, I accidentally blurted out, "Quit being such a bitch," to the superintendent's daughter. FML

Then you're not in any college English classes where they tell you that what you just said is for kids. Once you learn to use "but" correctly, it is acceptable, though sometimes frowned upon, to use in writing, especially informal writing, like you'd find on a website like this. Read up on your grammar before running your mouth next time, okay? PS: Wow, nice comeback. "I'm not actually, but thanks for showing you can act like one!" Bravo! A slightly less childish version of "I know you are, but what am I? Hurdurr." Your wit is off the charts.

Even if the student you said that to wasn't the superintendent's daughter, it would still be inappropriate. How do you "accidentally" say something like that?

you deserve some sort of applause.

even if the kids are annoying you as a teacher and their role model cannot say anything like that to students
