If you're a minor you have to go with a parent, right? So go with her and let the doc talk some sense into her.
I think its nice that you mum cares about you, and will accept it if you have any problems with your mental health- when i went through some problems and had very disordered eating, my mum refused to believe there was anything wrong with me and didn't want me to go to the doctors, even when i was starving myself for days at a time!! You should sit down and explain to your mum that you would like to lose weight for your health, but you will not do any extreme calorie restriction, and ask her to support you. Good luck loosing weight :)
When being obese is common enough to be considered normal, those who wish to be thinner are seen as the sick ones. I commend you on your personal quest, I only wish we could strive to change judgemental attitudes as well.
Dont go, and if you are forced to, tell him straight off the bat what you are doing. Dieting, not being anorexic
Good luck Op, but eaing healthier is better than dieting. Like others said maybe your mom has issues with food and has had an eating disorder and thats her strange way of being worried about you (I have major food issues that I never said anything to my daughter about - I dont want to freak her out of give her ideas about MY food issues). Does your mom know why you want to loose weight? Maybe talk to her??? And if she brings up the therapist take her up on it, others suggested getting the therapist on your side, I agree ? good luck
It doesn't even seem like OP is doing any serious/dangerous dieting. He's just cutting out unnecessary dessert. That seems like a pretty harmless thing to do.
I don't think your mom quite understands what anorexia is...
It's a different story with me. As a kid, I ate a lot but I had a very high metabolism. And my mum accused me of trying to get fat O_O
Stupid parent
If you agree to go to the psychiatrist you could ask your mom to sit in and then the psychiatrist can hear how crazy she is and hopefully explain it to her...?

Sounds like your mum needs to see a therapist as well.
Sounds like a more extreme version of my mom. When I was younger and tried to diet, my mom always thought i was starving myself.
