Whatever you do op make sure it isnt anything spiteful because you know as soon as you do people will make YOU out to be the bad guy because you're new.

Avoid talking about your boyfriend where she might over hear. Think how you might feel if you still loved someone and had to deal with their new SO. Also be careful if she suddenly wants to be your best friend. If things don't start off well, maybe keep a diary, record both your actions. A very basic statement of any interaction. An example 'I offered Megan a cup of tea, Megan stated "Shove it in your ear". I walked away making no response'. I worked with a girl who was bullied and her personal diary was the tipping point in getting the other person fired. Not that this is what you should be aiming for. But if any strange allegations are brought up against you, a diary may help. Make a note of anyone who happened to be near and might of overheard. Don't write it up in front of her. Congrats on the new job, hopefully there are a lot of staff and you won't have to work to closely with her.
