Yesterday I was let go from a serving job I got two months ago that I left one I was employed for a year at, this month I was also approved for an apartment. Good luck on your job hunt OP, I am going to need it too.

Maybe you can try and reapply for your previous job again if you don't mind. As long as you did the quitting process right they shouldn't have a problem rehiring you if they still have the position open

I basically had the same thing happen to me last year...except I worked 29 days. Not long enough to collect..I lost almost everything

Actually, if you live in the States, even if you lose a job that you haven't worked at long enough to qualify for unemployment, they will go back to your previous job and get it from them. Happened to me-I was downsized a month after I started and still got unemployment because I had been at my previous job (also known as the Hell Mouth) for three years. Probably unprofessional of me but I had to smile at that one-kind of like I got to say a final "**** you" lol.
