Maybe you should have done std tests before taking the condoms off? Just a thought...

At least that's one of the STIs that are curable and not something like herpes or aids

Suggesting you're in a relationship and if so you need to question where it came from before bringing a baby into the world

A previous partner? Chlamydia is asymptomatic in a lot of patients and most people don't get tested for STDs unless they have symptoms. She could've caught it from him, but she could've also had it the entire time. It's also possible that this is why they haven't gotten pregnant, chlamydia can damage a woman's uterus and lead to fertility issues.

That sucks. I guess your partner should have told you or they cheated

Adoption: It's the best way to have kids without having sex.

I don't know about the UK, but in the US the average adoption costs around $10k. It is not an easy or cheap process

Neither is having a child in general, no matter if you adopt or have a child naturally, it's still going to be a hell of an expensive journey.

Sex is the fun part of making the baby though....

There is always the chance for immaculate conception. Your child could be the second coming.

Well having your own is cheaper. You have to feed both of them and buy both of them clothes. But the adopted one comes with an immediate charge of. A couple thousand

Baustigt is the only one who got it. :/

Got to be careful OP!! Hope you feel better soon..

If the jerk gave you chlamydia, it's probably for the best that loser won't be the father of your child. It's probably also the reason he hasn't been able to get you pregnant. Untreated it can lead to fertility issues.

It's also possible that SHE is the one who got chlamydia from a previous relationship or one night stand and only recently started to show symptoms. A lot of people don't get regular STD tests, so if she was asymptomatic or confused the symptoms with a standard UTI, she could've been positive for a long time.

Why does everyone assume that she's with multiple dudes? Let me guess, double standard? Since she's a woman that she tosses herself around like a piece of meat. More than likely her boyfriend gave it to her. Not multiple dudes.

Why is it safe to assume that it's the guy's fault? Because it's cool for guys to sleep around with women whenever they want? Either one of them could have gotten it from a previous relationship and never showed any symptoms of it.

Maybe because she wants a kid with him not the mailman. Or els she woudn't look so surprise.

Usually you Stick to 1 man When trying for a baby.

Usually it only Takes 1 man When catching an STD

OKAY. 1.) Someone can have it for YEARS and not even know until they get tested. 2.) IT only takes one goddamn person to give it to you. Not everyone's a cheating prick you half-wit. Don't be such a judgmental prick. She could've gotten WAY before this man, and not even cheated. OR HE could've gotten it WAY before this woman, and not even cheated. And I know this because we actually had sex ed, and I'm going into med school.

Probably not, since having chlamydia makes getting pregnant almost impossible.

Fun fact of the day, we were all surprised when my step daughter made it to 18 std and pregnancy free. 3 months after she turned 18 she got pregnant, and 5 months after she turned 18 she got chlamydia from the cheating father of the child.

People can have Chlamydia for many years without knowing, unless they get tested, that's why it's the most common STD. It isn't exclusively mutual to cheaters and people who sleep around. A virgin could catch it from someone who has been celibate for years.

Thank you! People are so judgemental accuming she's been sleeping around or her partner is a cheater.

At least no one has come up with the overused 'ex boyfriend' comment yet.
