Today, after trying for months for a baby, I finally got a positive test. For chlamydia. FML

Maybe you should have done std tests before taking the condoms off? Just a thought...

At least that's one of the STIs that are curable and not something like herpes or aids

Am I the only one who thinks this is about her husband cheating on her with someone who has/ had chlamydia.

I'm guessing this might have been diagnosed during a visit to a doctor to see why OP (and their potential partner) were having issues getting pregnant. That said, I hope that if OP did catch it from their partner, it was because said partner had it and didn't know before they started dating. Hopefully it hasn't done too much damage to your fertility or the fertility of your partner. On the plus side, at least you found out now instead of when you were pregnant or after your child was born with it. If fertility was damaged, you can always look into IVF and other fertility treatments, or adoption if those aren't options. Good luck with the entire situation, OP. Sounds like you need it.

Maybe you've dodged a bullet? having a kid with a possible cheating partner would be awful.

So were you just sleeping with random people and trying to have a baby or did the person you were with cheat on you and pass the disease onto you?

I'm not going to make any assumptions like everyone else. Just wanted to say I'm so sorry that happened to you.

it can honestly happen if the male slips out and goes south and then goes back in without washing it. it's caused by any fecal matter that could've gotten on the head. try wiping your butt with wipes since they get everything. hope you get pregnant soon. (:

I have no idea where you got that, but it's completely wrong. Chlamydia cannot be spontaneously contracted from just switching from anal to vaginal penetration. Chlamydia has to be contracted from sex with a carrier, contaminated blood, or the very tiny chance of picking it up from a surface and touching your eyes. The bacteria that causes chlamydia is not something naturally found in healthy adults. Going from anal to vaginal without cleaning can cause pelvis, uterine, ovarian, and urinary tract infections however. I don't know who told you that, but they misinformed you either intentionally or accidentally.
