Today, as I was bagging groceries, I looked down to see a 6-year-old urinating on my shoes and the floor next to me. I told his mother that he should take her kid to the restroom, only to be told to "mind my own goddamn business." I was later fired for arguing with the customer. FML

Take them to court. I'm sure a jury can see the logic and misjustice in firing someone for not wanting piss on their shoes.

I am from Europe and I keep reading about crazy FML stories of people getting fired because of stupid customers. Is this quite common in America? Is the customer really always right regardless of what happens??? I am quite shocked. Many time have I told customers to f-off, with the support of my managers, simply because we get paid doesn't mean we're prostitutes who can get peed on - with a smile -

#6 It amazes me (european) too that american employees get fired for the stupidest reasons. Why should a customer complain when her child pees over an employee. And why the HELL would the boss fire you when you say something about it. WTF!!!!!!!

God, these are the reasons I HATE society sometimes. and why people shouldn't be as worried with spay and neutering regulations, as with parental screening regulations.

Call the Health Department in your city and report your former employer. Write a letter of complaint to the central office that manages your store naming names or do an Executive E-mail Carpet bomb naming the names of the management in your store and stressing the unsanitary effects of the urine and the fact that you were "assaulted" and then fired for complaining. (Hint: BE POLITE and PROFESSIONAL) See if your city has a Legal Services Agency to represent you for free if you want your job back. See if any local newspapers are interested (probably not, but what the hell!) Go out fighting. This is bullshit!
