Don't worry, whether they appreciate it or not it's still a lovely gesture. Your friend is also an ass. But that sounds like a cute gift idea never the less!
Some people are just ignorant OP
She shouldn't snoop through your phone, but honestly, she probably didn't know you made that pottery and that her honesty would hurt your feelings. Giving self-made presents is a tricky bussiness, you know. But think positive: now you can give that pottery to someone who really likes it (why not yourself, tbh?) and you can buy your friend a gift she'll really appreciates. Or bake cookies, you can't do anything wrong with that.
You didn't see how's reindeer cookies turned out last year. Yes, things can go wrong with cookies rofl. They tasted good but none of us could eat them without busting into hysterics first.
bahahahahahahahaha give it to her so she can't learn not 2 snoop in other people's phones -,- ungrateful ass
She can't learn to phone snoop's ungrateful ass??? What?
1. Say "this is the Christmas present for you." 2. Change the Christmas present. 3. Quit a relationship with her. 4. Suddenly God comes and then help you.
I fed this through my Idiot-English Translation Engine, and the damned thing shorted out. For everyone's sake, PLEASE stop huffing asphalt fumes just prior to commenting.
You should still be proud of it op. Give it to someone who deserves it. Just because she thinks it is ugly doesn't mean someone else won't appreciate it.
The gesture is lovely but not everyone shares your same taste in art. Especially home made stuff. Is it best for your friend to secretly lie about something she hates? Ex: I have many knitted sweaters from my Nana. I had to pretend to love them. Little white lies all for the sake of sparing her feelings since I know she worked so hard on them. :P

Don't worry about it, OP. Your friend is uglier than your pottery, personality-wise.
It's the thought that counts. And after reading this, I thought your friend was a twat.
